TITLE: Employee Motivation/Matching People to Work
“Measuring and selecting an engaged candidate is like hiring the caterpillar who turns into a butterfly – not the moth who eats away the fabric of your organization.” – Doug Reynolds, VP, Assessment Technology.
The success of a business depends on recruiting intelligently and supporting employees in their work, in order to grow and retain valuable people. Knowing when to add staff – and how to match them to the right tasks –ensures positive outcomes for both the employee and, ultimately, the business owner!
Employees know they will be paid for their work, but they need more than money if they are to be enthusiastic workers and remain loyal to your business. They need to learn how to communicate their motivations to their co-workers…they need to participate in the process of earning respect and appreciation from their supervisors and peers…and they need to be given opportunities to learn more and grow in the role that they have.
Areas to be covered in Roundtable Discussion:
- Knowing how to match prospective employees to open positions (Identifying new hires, contract personnel, candidates for promotion)
- Importance of really “seeing” your employees
- Methods for identifying positive motivations
- Conversation
- Assessment (MAPP™/360º)

- Identifying Personal Traits critical to any discussion of positive motivations
