About the Speaker:
Jennifer holds a criminal justice degree from Sacramento State University and began her law enforcement career as a police officer with the Sacramento Police Department. She later transferred to the Carlsbad Police Department in San Diego. During her career, Jennifer was continuously trained in defensive tactics and has specific training and experience regarding crimes against women. This real world knowledge and experience is integrated into all H.E.A.T. self defense training. H.E.A.T. self defense was developed by Jennifer to bring safety education and self defense awareness to woman and girls.
Jennifer is a certified self defense instructor for Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) Systems, which is a recognized by police departments and universities nationwide as an exceptional standard for self defense instruction. Jennifer is an active member of the San Diego Domestic Violence Council, and in 2009, she was appointed a Commissioner for the San Diego Commission on the Status of Women.
Jennifer’s passion is empowering women and giving them the tools they need to be confident, powerful and self-reliant. H.E.A.T. self defense trains and encourages women to be their strongest both mentally and physically. Whether you are running errands or traveling in a foreign country, you will have an increased knowledge of how to carry yourself, observe, communicate, and react so that you can stay safe and ultimately defend yourself.
